The opportunity
For a nanny who loves seeing where a child’s imagination can lead, this role offers room to be creative and make a lasting difference. The family values someone who joins in wholeheartedly, whether helping with a favorite craft or patiently working through a new challenge.
Based in Manalapan, the family is looking for an experienced career nanny to care for two children, ages 5 and 3, alongside involved parents and another nanny. They hope to find someone who truly loves working with children and wants to grow with the family for years to come.
The right fit brings positive energy, creativity, and plenty of TLC, balanced with calm guidance and consistent boundaries. Previous teaching or early childhood education experience is a plus.
Care that inspires
- Plan engaging days with arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate outings, balanced with rest and unstructured play.
- Support homework and early learning with patience, encouragement, and activities tailored to each child’s interests and abilities.
- Use fluent Spanish naturally throughout the day through conversation, stories, songs, and play.
- Guide daily routines, dressing, bathing, and hygiene while encouraging independence, good manners, and responsibility.
- Coordinate playdates, lessons, appointments, and school or activity transportation; help with birthdays and special occasions.
- Provide attentive supervision and prioritize the children’s safety at home, around water, during activities, and while traveling.
A united team
Work closely with the parents to understand and reinforce their parenting approach. Communicate openly, welcome direction and feedback, and provide warmth and clear boundaries so the children experience consistent expectations. The family values a nanny who knows when to take initiative and when to check in.
Be a considerate, dependable teammate to the other nanny, household staff, and estate managers. Share useful updates, prepare thorough handovers between rotations, and contribute wherever child-related support is needed. Professionalism, discretion, and respect for the family’s privacy are essential.
Think ahead during school hours
A successful day begins before school pickup. Use time when the children are at school to anticipate what will make the afternoon and the coming week run smoothly:
- Prepare activities and craft supplies, review upcoming commitments, and get belongings ready for lessons, outings, and school projects.
- Keep the children’s wardrobes, toys, and play areas organized; tidy after activities and meals, and run child-related errands as needed.
- Plan healthy snacks and prepare the children’s meals when the chef is away or unavailable.
- Prepare and pack for travel, anticipate supplies needed away from home, and keep personal living quarters tidy.
Rotation and travel
This is a live-in ROTA position with a regular schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off. During summers in the Hamptons, the schedule is 10 days on and 10 days off; the nanny may return to Florida during days off. Domestic and international travel with the family is required. Candidates must hold a valid passport and be comfortable adapting to a busy household, changing routines, and travel schedules.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish and experience caring for multiple children of preschool and early school age; excellent references from prior employers.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check, and current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to swim and comfortably participate in active play and outings with the children.
- Strong written and verbal communication, punctuality, organization, practical common sense, and sound judgment.
- A proactive, flexible, professional approach and a sincere interest in a long-term commitment. Previous teaching experience is a plus.
If you love helping children discover, create, and grow—and take pride in being a trusted partner to parents—this family would love to meet you.
